Hudson City Council is a governing body responsible for making decisions and policies at the local level within the city of Hudson. Its primary role is to represent the interests of the community and ensure the effective functioning of local government. ***The City Council of the City of Hudson meets regularly on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:00 pm unless otherwise determined by Council action***

Mayor: Residence - One (1) year in the State before the filing deadline; One (1) year in the city before election day.
            Age - Eighteen (18)
            Must be a registered voter in the territory elected by the filing deadline.
 
Council Member: Residence - One (1) year in the State before the filing deadline; six months in the city before the filing deadline (Texas Election Code, Section 141.00(a); Brown v. Patterson, 609 SW 2nd 287)
                                Age - Eighteen (18)
                                Must be a registered voter in the territory elected by the filing deadline.
